Homework

Homework is set on a Friday and needs to be completed by the following Wednesday. Teachers will communicate this to the class and to parents via Class Dojo.  Most homework will be set on our various online learning platforms such as Purple Mash, Times Table Rock Stars and My Maths. Other homework activities may also be set.

We run a homework club after school on Tuesdays until 3.50pm for children to stay and complete their homework with support from teachers.  Parents can sign their children up via the school newsletter.

Reading at home

We all know that it is so important that children learn to read fluently as quickly as possible. Fluent readers will learn more, because they can read and gain knowledge for themselves. The key to pupils’ success is their ability to read. Therefore, we really ask for parents to support in this. If you can hear your child read at least 3 times per week it will make such a huge difference to their progress.
